xkcd

Mostly anything goes, but let's stay away from flame wars, politics, hot-button issues, etc.

xkcd

I was just wondering if anyone reads xkcd. Seems like just the eccentric crowd that would read such a web-comic.

If you don't read it, or have never heard of it, check it out at www.xkcd.com

It's pretty hilarious. And very nerdy. Also, make sure you hover the mouse over every comic to get the hidden punchline.

I do, but I'm a big Web Comic guy. The subjects, quality, and humor on the web I find better than the newpaper versions (except The Far Side, but he doesn't make those anymore).

Anyhow, my favorite currently running strip is: http://www.irregularwebcomic.net/

And my favorite strip of all time (finshed, so its over now unfortunately) is (Keep reading, it gets more funny as it goes along):

The Black Belt Beaters
Honest Tricksters
Followers of One Fang
Three Claws
Fifth Times the Charm

Hooray for the Far Side. It fills my bookshelves. Not much beats that.

Everything I ever learned I learned from webcomics.

Every so often, I like to catch up on these webcomics:
College Roomies from Hell
Dresden Codak (brilliant writing, twisting mathematical and philosophical concepts)
Girl Genius Online (the best story and greatest characters)
Looking for Group
Red Meat
Schlock Mercenary (over 8 years without missing a day! great scifi)
Sinfest
Sluggy Freelance

Also, the Perry Bible Fellowship seems to be finished, but the archives are brutally funny and often hilariously wrong on several levels.
Spleenrippaz -- 3rd, 6th, 1st, 1st, 1st, 3rd, 2nd
Meathooks -- 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd
Eels -- 1st

I do indeed read xkcd. To add to the list, there are:

Order of the Stick http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html - a must-read for the D&D player

and

Garfield Minus Garfield http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/ - alternately funny as hell and a really, really sad look at Jon Arbuckle's "real" life.
