Div II: Ain't no gentlemen's league, ain't no country club.

In your second season, you are in Division IV. Third season teams play in Division III. Fourth season teams play in Division II. Teams that have already played four or more seasons are in Division I. This helps keep the playing field level as your team gains experience.

Div II: Ain't no gentlemen's league, ain't no country club.

Adrenaline's Base Jumpers
Dizzy's Meathooks
Dread's Disorders
Ettiene's Marauders
Highland's Clansmen (Ice)
Loki's Argumentativities
purple's saliva flingers
Tuneloon's Headknockers

Four of these lovely teams have all ::goldmedal:: and/or ::silvermedal:: in their first three seasons. Can you guess which ones, precious? Yes, I knew that you could. Interestingly, all four of said teams play against each other in the first three games, so this league is getting off to a roaring start.

Bids have begun, the local town is boarding up their windows, and the gates rumble open on Saturday for Game 1.

Dig it.

Now, methinks, the time has come for synapses-and-neurons to show our superior thinkitude and knowiness over code-and-electrons. Death to A.I.! Long live we of skin and cartilage and other such stuff!

I'm guessing you must be human since there is an odd bit in that. I mean, c'mon, 49 bits? Who does that?

Okiedokie! The one-off games are done, and I have a bruise on my leg from where I was pounding it while cursing to the heavens after my loss to the Disorders tonight. ...'Cause, obviously, my leg could have done much better. I hope that the rest of me gets the message before I'm forced to start pounding on tender bits.

I hope you plan on aiming lower and not working your way up, that could get really painful.

Dread's Disorders beat me again two days ago. I had to do it. I couldn't lose to some weiner Computer team a third time. I had to push the red button marked DESTRUCT-MO-TRON ENGAGE, if only to keep my head and neck area from looking like my two poor, battered legs. The big dogs were let loose onto the field, we transformed our decayed form into Mumm-ra, the spirit of evil, and we defeated them in a winningly victorious manner.

Tomorrow, we face Etienne's MarauDESTRUCT-MO-TRON ENGAGE!

Bjendmorqik : "Me thinks we gonna get killed out there the way we r getting drilled...zzzzzzzzzzz"

Game 6:
Purple's Saliva Flingers - 15
Dizzy's Meathooks - 15

Game 16:
Dizzy's Meathooks - 17
Purple's Saliva Flingers - 17

Into the moonlit night the titans dueled...
In mortal combat bound.
Oh, who'd the fatal false step make?
Whose blood would stain the ground?

I always did like Dragonheart. So! Onto tonight's match:

Game 17: Beginning of the third period...
Purple's Saliva Flingers - 10
Dizzy's Meathooks - 3

Game End:
Purple's Saliva Flingers - 11
Dizzy's Meathooks - 12

I might not unclench for a week! :D

They fought like warrior-poets.

Postby Dizzy » Tue Sep 08, 2009 8:01 pm

Game 1 of the Playoffs:
(1) Ettiene's Marauders - 25, 1 kill
(4) Highland's Clansmen - 22, 0 kills

The text report of the Marauders/Clansmen match paints the picture of a closely contested battle and late-game heroics using broad, sweeping strokes mixed with staccato pointilism! ... and a happyface sun. Happyface suns always make a picture awesome.

(2) Dizzy's Meathooks - 28, 9 kills + 1 KO
(3) Loki's Argumentativities - 5, 0 kills

That kill count has "rock-bottom-Tolerance desperation" written all over it. Loki must have figured that his players' lives were worth less than a victory. I figure that he was right.

To Ettiene and Ice: may your road to the finals be as difficult and bloody as possible. Unless the Argumentativities pull out the proverbial pickle on Thursday, we'll be waiting.

Hearty handshakes all around!

Irresistible force versus small, fragile kitten?

Postby Dizzy » Tue Sep 15, 2009 8:00 am

(1) Ettiene's Marauders: 19-3-1, 683 PF, 320 PA
(2) Dizzy's Meathooks: 16-5-2, 478 PF, 320 PA

Game 2: Marauders win 34-11
Game 12: Marauders win 25-17
Game 13: Meathooks win 25-24

Were the 'Hooks getting better against the Marauders throughout the season? Do we stand a chance in the finals? Are we really all that fond of our arms and legs anyway?

OR WILL THE HOOKS DESTRUCTIVATE THE MARAUDERS?!?!?
No, probably not. But we'll give it one hell of a shot...
