I'm in the same boat... and in the same league.

I have 2 teams heading to elite in the next week, and 10 teams either or waiting for elite. Other than that, I have my 1MGC team and nothing else, so I needed to get another team working up through the ranks.

Good luck to everyone.

I must say, that after round 1, we may have a very competitive Novice league on our hands.

Bids won came out fairly balanced

Team # of orcs

Matt 8
Daryl 9
Nano 10
Morgan 13
Mike 5
Tune 10
Ett 8
Foul 17

Foul is now cashless, so day two the rest of the pack should catch up. Mike had the roughest go, only winning 5 orcs, but he has the most cash.

a couple of mine of note, where I barely outbid everyone

Gapsubu 1057 You bought the orc for 4066 on a bid of 4192
Wolmentur 1143 You bought the orc for 2171 on a bid of 2217

Good luck on day 2 bids everyone

That's pretty good for me since I got distracted and only put in 12 bids. :)

Was a particularly brutal round of bidding for me. Most of my big bids got outbid by others and yet everyone seems to be on the same amount of cash which i find surprising. First time i seen where only one team is done as far as cash goes for round one. Should be an interesting season. Also doesnt seem to be an auto pilot. Good luck for round two all

I had one of those "outbid by a few" type days. Also known as the "went for the same orcs as anyone else did" days. The second day bidding went rather better.

Sorry bud, but I'm not sure which team you are. My guess would be Mike's, but either way it's good to see you on the forums and welcome.

This has been the toughest opening days of bids I've ever seen in this game, save for ones like the LOCO league.

Updated numbers

Team D1 D2 Total

Matt 8 12 20
Daryl 9 9 18
Nano 10 14 24
Morgan 13 11 24
Mike 5 12 17
Tune 10 5 15
Ett 8 7 15
Foul 17 0 17

Everyone can fill 2 lines, with Mike, Ett and Tune left with over 10K to bid with. Daryl is the only one with significant armor, and Day 3 bids and opening games are on the slate for tomorrow.

This has the potential to be one very difficult league.

Someone out there doesnt want me and tune to get orcs  Two days of bidding and only 15 a piece  Normally i would have at least 25+ orcs now. At least not too bad last night. Filled some positions quite nicely and looking at the homelands its a really good thing as their are next to nothing left to bid on :?

Yep - I'm Mike.

I think this is the first time I've got to game one without a full roster ;-)

Novice divisions usually only have half of the teams active, so it's easy to fill your roster. This particular league has all 8 active teams, and with the likes of Ettiene, ICE, and myself it has some of the more experienced overlords. That being said, this IS the first time I've not been able to fill all 3 lines prior to game one.

I don't have any idea of what to expect tonight, except for some very closely contested games.

Good luck tonight Ett.... I'm sharpening up my spikes for ya!!!

Ettiene's Marauders 4 1-0-0 16 - 5
Matt's Cream Puffs 4 1-0-0 10 - 9
NaNo's WriMos 4 1-0-0 7 - 5
Tuneloon's Headknockers 4 1-0-0 18 - 0
Daryl's Dragon Dancers 0 0-1-0 9 - 10
Foulgore's Oinkerz 0 0-1-0 5 - 16
Mike's Hairy Orcs (1MGC) 0 0-1-0 0 - 18
Morgan's Broken Promises 0 0-1-0 5 - 7

Well.... I didn't play Ettiene. Somehow got my wires crossed on that one. Really suprised by my shutout, but I'll take it. Now to try to get some of what little is left from the homelands.

 Well it seems like its round one to the seasoned vets. The wrimos, headnockers and marauders all notched up wins.

As far as bidding goes i kinda scored last night. First 2 rounds i only get up to 15. In round 3 a doubled it plus 1 8) Not the best orcs in the world but considering what is left in the homelands i did quite well. Also had quite a bit of cash left so did some serious armoring up which should help a lot in the early stages of the season.

Ps: Tune, I also bought 12 iron spikes that i will be sharpening for our game

For some stupid reason, I thought I had you in game 1 Ett, but we don't play til game 3. I went for a little different approach, as I bought 3 steel spikes for my 3 best bruisers and brass knuckles for a few others.

Can't believe it's day 4 and I still have a good portion of my roster to fill. Let's see what todays bids have in store, not that there's much of anything left.
