New standings page

Postby TheIceMage » Thu Jun 22, 2006 12:21 am

June 22, 2006: A new standings page has been added. It is under the team standings pages, labeled Ten Minute Averages. This shows the average performance of orcs over 10 minutes of game time. If your orc scored 10 points in 20 minutes of play, this would show 5.0 under Points Per Ten Minutes. As an example:

Here are the goalies for Brett's Ticks, as listed under the old Goalie team stats:

Goalies
Orc Name, Saves, Shots Faced, Ratio
Pizzfixnko, 21, 24, 0.8750
Ezquisnu, 241, 295, 0.8169
Rokfeecai, 93, 117, 0.7949
Relpwornche, 163, 246, 0.6626
Kwulvavrav, 51, 79, 0.6456
Syzworqa, 13, 22, 0.5909

Here is the list as shown under the Per Ten Minutes category:

Goals Allowed Per Ten Minutes
Orc Name, Goals Allowed
Rokfeecai, 0.8630
Pizzfixnko, 0.8815
Ezquisnu, 1.0018
Relpwornche, 1.6515
Kwulvavrav, 2.3385
Syzworqa, 3.5065

Kwulvavrav and Syzworqa kindof suck on both lists, but the top goalies are different depending on how you look at it. In the top list, Pizzfixnko is tops followed by Ezquisnu. On the bottom list, Rokfeecai actually allows fewer goals per 10 minutes played than both Pizzfixnko and Ezquisnu. Maybe the answer is to give Rokfeecai the best armor and lower tolerance?

It's just another way to look at things. Hope you like!

maybe I'm missing something, but I can't find this particular stat anywhere. I've gone to the Stats tab, and everything seems to be just like it was before???

It's a team stat - go to Team, Standings, Team Standings, and it's at the bottom of the list.

Ice - these 10 minute averages. Are they based on career numbers or just for this season? I am seeing benchers who have not seen a minute of play this season show up in my statistics. For example, my top orc in hits given per 10 minute:

Orc Name Hits Given
Jiqfeneco 55.7880

Has zero minutes played at any position this year. Hes a looter. I was about to promote him to one of my starting defense positions based on the stat above

It's supposed to be for just the current season. I imagine what you're seeing is because I didn't restrict it by league, and there may be some residual information around for that one. I'll tune it up so that it shows the right information.

Icemage,

I still see this stat on my hits given per 10 minutes:

Orc Name Hits Given
Jiqfeneco 55.7880

He's orc id 3063 on team 778. I pasted his current stats below. I am a little confused cause I see that he has hits recorded and a pass made and caught, but when you look at his "minutes played" for all positions, he shows 0.

Forward Defense Goalie
Center: 3 (8/200)
Wing: 1 Defense: 1 Goalie: 1
Get: 3
Lose: 2 Sneak: 5
Pound: 2 Eek: 2
Slam: 4

Num faceoffs while in play: 0
Faceoffs won by teammate: 0
Plus-Minus: 0
Hits given: 4
Hits received: 6
Knockouts given: 0
Knockouts received: 1
Blocked shots: 0

Passes made: 1
Passes intercepted: 0
Passes caught: 1
Passes dropped: 0
Interceptions: 0
Defense minutes played: 0
Wing minutes played: 0
Center minutes played: 0
Goalie minutes played: 0
Time in offensive zone: 0
Time in defensive zone: 0
Minutes Played: 0
Minutes played while fatigued: 0

Minutes round down, so that's possible he played sub-minute games. I will look at it more closely along with the other couple things I need to check on.
