Could (some incarnation of) OrcSports be a Facebook game? If so, how?

Baby steps.

What are you trying to achieve by putting Orcsports on Facebook?

1. You are doing it because you love it so and want to share your wonderful, bashful (read: full of bashing) world with the online community on a grand scale.
2. You want more people to direct their attention to Orcsports.com.
3. Ever since you were young, you thought that this world needed a superviolent sport that is played by expendable players, and you are trying to desensitize the masses one small step at a time. You will follow this Facebook project with a real, live demonstration game played by... oh, say, those little automated vacuum-bots with some minor reprogramming, then moving on to kittens that are starved for a while and infected with syphilis. The syphilis won't help them to play with more verve, but you'll do it because this sort of plan usually involves "infecting" in some form, and syphilis should be relatively easy to get. Once those pesky activists are drowned out by the hordes of Kittensports fans, it's only a hop, skip, and jump to human players, and then to humans who are painted green. In the meantime, you'll have a secret lab where orcs are grown. At first, they'll just be papier m?ch? orcs, but you'll get there. Oh, yes. These two, parallel projects should reach maturity in fourteen years.
4. It's a dare. A double dog dare with pudding.

A clear definition of a goal will help us to formulate some advice.
(Oh please oh please let it be 3.)

Nobody mentioned pudding in the dare!

In all seriousness, I think it would still be fun to play if it can be dumbed down enough for the masses. Obviously, folks who already play are super-intelligent, but the game does have its complexities that the general public just isn't ready for. ;-)

then it comes down to whether it is an application, or merely a link to here in some regards.

...Or a little from column A and a little from column B. What I'm reading here is that Ice wants to start up Orcsports Lite as an application and then have a blurb along the lines of "If you like what you see, then come to orcsports dot com for the full version (and it's still free to play!)".

Fine, then. Here are my recommendations:
1. No training.
2. No looting.
3. No prepaid rollover.
4. No spitting.
5. Abbreviated schedule of 14 games with more back-to-backs to keep it short.
6. An entirely separate Homelands with orcs that would qualify for Div II but not Div I or Elite. No clans or hidden stat information. WYSIWYG.
7. No Divisions: everyone plays at the same level. This change will shorten the wait time for a League to start.
8. Definitely, include the Playback as an option for checking your results. It is the most interesting aspect for me, personally, and I'm guessing that many people will appreciate the level of effort that went into its execution. However, you might want to consider a 2-period game (20 game minutes).
9. Prepare for some of the dumbest, cheesiest, txt-iest, and uncouth-iest team names evar.

...I may think of more later. In general, I think that this is a fabulous idea. I volunteer to be the kitten infector when you eventually need one.

Dig it.

What!!!??? that's disgusting! That ruins perfectly good kittens! them's good eatin.....

agree with most of what dizzy said, but would add the following

A) Probably need to shorten time between games.
B) Increase/Change healing to boot. Probably something along the lines of "Heal half your remaining damage (round up)"
C) Slightly smarter assistant - Heal most wounded
D) Keep it to two types of Orcade: Basic and "Purade"

Probably have more later.
