Div III - Ending May 21

In your second season, you are in Division IV. Third season teams play in Division III. Fourth season teams play in Division II. Teams that have already played four or more seasons are in Division I. This helps keep the playing field level as your team gains experience.

Which team will end in 5th place?

Div III - Ending May 21

Postby randomluck » Thu Mar 20, 2008 9:49 am

Starting the posting for the Div III league ending May 21st.

New league here with the Big City facing a few teams they haven't seen before.

Brak's "Err go fizh! me av nunez" is here and they promise to the "gimme games" of the seasons. Yes, he has two gold medals and ended his last league with a perfect season, but it was all luck. Really! :P

My predictions for the playoff contenders here:

Brak
Arna

Good luck to everyone!

Well after looking at the homelands its looking like its going to be all about what talent everyone rolled over from last season! 8)

Yes there are some good players in the homelands but the asking prices are.... A bit high so i think everyone will pick up one or 2 of those new Good players but the rest of the homelands makes my bench look like all-stars

Anywho.....Good luck to all in opening bides and the season!

Four games in and the competition among the front runners remains high.

Randomluck's Big City Boys 21 4-0-1 208 - 62
Brakgwar's Err gho Fizh! me av nunez 19 4-1-0 155 - 59
Marley's Mockingbird Killers 19 4-1-0 190 - 57
Bubbauk's Grim Reapers 16 3-1-1 155 - 93
arna's storm riders 11 2-2-1 142 - 112
Chris's Brawlers 7 1-3-1 227 - 100
Kyle's Bluze 0 0-5-0 38 - 171
Marc's Shipton Reaverz 0 0-5-0 22 - 483

I managed to beat Brak, something I failed miserably at the previous league. However, my goalies have really upped in level, which seems to be making the difference at the moment. Definitely need more Armor, though. Healing bill against Brak and Bubbauk were killer.

Bubba and I tied our first game.

Not sure how the homelands were this season. I was looking for something specific, but all the "good" skilled orcs were low tough, and everyone else seemed mediocre. Did get a nice back up goalie, though. Looks like its going to be based on what we bring over from last season and what we can train!

Homelands were horrible. I needed some primetime players and got bench scratches. At least no one is going undefeated, with braks loss and the tie we had. I'm getting all of my orcs armored up and hope to get a bunch of money for next season.

Normally I bring over the first two lines and my best looter. all others are sent back to the homelands becuase I can usually hire better talent in the homelands. For this team, I kept almost all of the line players. I'm glad I did!

Except for a badly needed goalie, I'm fairly comfortable with what I have. After all, I took Brak and Tune back to back and managed to survive with a playing team still intact! :o We'll <cough> not mention the healing cost factor </cough>.
